On the afternoon of Friday the 19th November 2004 a photo was managed with no less than 14 locos in the shot, 7 at the workshops, and 7 on trains at the car dumper roads. Locos in the frame are: 3085, 3080, 3092, 5639, 5636, 5667, 6074 at the workshops and 6073, 3082, 3079, 5640, 5669, 3078, 5630 on the car dumper roads. Models are EMD SD40R and SD40-2, GE AC6000 and Goninan GE CM80-8M.

Note the lack of nose grab irons, the unit also has two new EMD type roof mounted antennas, a larger antenna at the rear, no grabs on the rear, no grabs behind the inverter area and has additional access openings in the side railing, just a few details of note. Window protectors have not yet been installed and step well guards will be installed in Australia.

041014 142544r137 viewsSix Mile Dampier, Pilbara Railway Historical Museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSD-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Thursday 14th October 2004.

031119 165830r132 viewsNelson Point, Ex Southern Pacific SD40T-2 loco 8335 serial 786175-9 this unit was purchased as a spares source for the other SD40 style units. 8335 was built in 1979 with the T signifying that it is a Tunnel motor with a modified radiator intake to allow 'cool' running through the Sierra Nevada tunnels. And the "M" with a lighting rod through it meant that it was a master unit for radio controlled helpers, used in the Tehachapi mountains. 19th November 2003.
