These AC to DC conversions feature a new cab and a new radiator section similar to the ES44DCi and ACi units. FMG ordered twenty eight of these units from Wabtec, all rebuilt from former BNSF 9-44CW locomotives and they have kept the original build dates and serial numbers of the former units. FMG 103 was originally BNSF 4778 built back in June 1998 with serial number 50632.
