FMG ordered twenty eight of these units from Wabtec, all rebuilt from former BNSF 9-44CW locomotives and they have kept the original build dates and serial numbers of the former units. FMG 108 was originally BNSF 4795 built back in June 1998 with serial number 50649.55555
