Bassendean, Goninan workshops, loaded onto a ninety six wheel road transport float, Robe River rebuild GE CM40-8M unit 9424 serial 6266-07 / 89-84 is loaded awaiting transport to Cape Lambert. 9424 was rebuilt from former Spokane Portland & Seattle number 343 an ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 6010-4, to Robe River in May 1981 as 9424, kept this number when rebuilt here. September 1991.
