R 1003 is an Electro Motive built NW2 model with serial number 4114 and frame number of E761-8 was built in November 1946 at La Grange originally for Canadian National with road number 7943. Sold to Comalco in December 1975 and entered service in 1976. This unit was subsequently scrapped in 2000.

Even a 20 km remote railway requires a grinder! September 1995.

Comeng Qld supplied a ballast waggon in 1971 (ordered in Feb 1971, delivered in Sept 1971), you can see the Comeng plate on the left hand end of the waggon frame, but this waggon does looks more like an American import.
