040806 091254r152 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, BHP Goninan GE rebuild CM40-8MEFI 5666 'Taranto' serial 8412-11/94-157, was the first unit fitted with Electronic Fuel Injection to the 16FDL engine hence the EFI on the model designation, is in charge of the Weighbridge Calibration train which is situated in the middle of the switches at the Goldsworthy Junction. 5666 will do several trips back and forward over the weighbridge at various speed to allow the technicians to calibrate it as well as having to clear the mainline for loaded and empty train movements. 0915 hrs 6th August 2004.

050111 090411r152 viewsSeven Mile, Goninan ALCo to GE rebuild C36-7M units 5052 'Ben' serial 4839-04 / 87-073 and 5051 'Bill' serial 4839-03 / 87-072 lead an empty consist across Anchovy Flats from Parker Point. Tuesday 11th January 2005. These two locos started life as ALCo C636 units for Mount Newman Mining, then rebuilt by Goninan for BHP into the C36-7M, upon retiring Goninan overhauled them and they have been in service at Seven Mile for eight years and are still stored there.

Comeng WA ALCo rebuild CE636R unit 9426 has already been sent to Perth and sister 9427 is stripped and ready to follow. The other units behind 9427 are ALCo M636 9416 and C636 units 9413, 9415 and 9412. 9th December 2006.

Here it idles away next to TSB 2 building awaiting a path out of Nelson Point yard with the 'Recycle Rake' bound for the dumper at Finucane Island 1945 hrs 17th August 2004.

050110 140552r151 viewsHaving departed Ibis Siding five minutes earlier double General Electric built C44-9W Hamersley Iron units 7069 serial 47748 and 7077 serial 47756 work a 230 loaded waggon train heading north between Ibis and Gull sidings. Above the two locos the east mainline can be seen in the background which was part of the second last duplication project from Gull to Tunkawanna and is a single track section with only passing tracks being on the original west mainline section. Monday 10th January 2005.
