070530 9591477 viewsWOB type iron ore waggon WOB 31400 is one of a batch of twenty five built by Comeng WA between 1974 and 1975 and converted from Mt Newman high sided waggons by WAGR Midland Workshops with a capacity of 67 tons with fleet number 324 for Koolyanobbing iron ore operations, but purchased by WAGR. This waggon is one of the 15 converted to WSM type ballast hoppers by re-fitting the removed top section of the body and fitting bottom discharge doors, converted back to WOB in 1998. The angled lines from this conversion are still visible. Loaded train at Binduli, 30th May 2007.

060113 2432477 viewsThevenard, at the Gypsum Resources Australian (GRA) gypsum unloading site, 1604 leads a triple consist of Clyde Engineering EMD JL22C model 1600 / NJ class combination of 1604 serial 71-731 and originally NJ 4, NJ 3 serial 71-730 and 1601 serial 71-728 class leader NJ 1, all three units started on the Central Australia Railway in 1971 and were transferred to the Eyre Peninsula in 1981. 1604 and 1601 both renumbered in 2004. Friday 13th January 2006.

Sold to West Coast Railway mid 1990s, converted to crew car after 2004.
