Lead unit 4327 'Hamersley' is from an order originally built by Electro-Motive, London Ontario for BNSF, a US Class 1 railroad, but BHP secured 10 of them during construction, this unit 4327 serial 20066862-056 was destined to be BNSF 9185 before coming to BHP. The second unit 4402 is from a batch of Progress Rail EMD SD70ACe units serial 20118575-012.

060110 2159304 viewsNear the 64 km between Pillana and Cummins, empty grain train behind ARG 1200 class unit 1204, a Clyde Engineering EMD model G12C serial 65-428, originally built for the WAGR as the final unit of fourteen A class locomotives in 1965 then sent to the Eyre Peninsula in July 2004, and two 830 class AE Goodwin built ALCo model DL531 units 842 serial 84140 ex SAR broad gauge to Eyre Peninsula in October 1987, and 851 serial 84137 new to Eyre Peninsula in 1962. July 1995.

The yellow circle indicates the rotary coupler end and the tare weight of the slave waggon at 22.6 tonnes, while the master weighs 22.9 tonnes as it hosts the brake control equipment. 16th January 2008.
