247-1632 viewsCape Lambert, Robe River's 9426 a Comeng WA rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Seen here dragging a loaded 101 waggon rake down to the car dumper. 22nd May 2002.

Budd in 1939 numbered 301 as the Silver Star, a diner-parlour-observation coach on the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad's General Pershing Zephyr train from the 1930s and 1940s. Donated to Mt Newman Mining Co. by AMAX an original joint venture partner to commemorate the projects first 100 million tonnes of iron ore railed between Mount Whaleback mine and the Port Hedland port. 12th of April 2002.

246-3631 viewsCape Lambert, a Robe River loaded Deepdale train rolls along the mainline behind the standard quad Dash 8 power with 202 waggons which are a mix of builds from Nippon Sharyo Japan and Tomlinson Steel and Centurion Industries both WA companies. The ore is a ROM product and will be dumped over the gyratory crusher to be correctly sized. The newly extended roads can be seen either side of the train and in the distance can be seen are the railway workshops. 22nd May 2002.
