256-22131 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9417 (2nd) leading an empty train into the passing track. 9417 was the first CM40-8M rebuild carried out by Goninan in 1989, it was originally an ALCo built C636 unit for Spokane Portland & Seattle numbered 340 with serial number 6010-1, it went onto to be Burlington Northern 4366 and then purchased for Robe River in late 1980 as a parts source. When finally rebuilt by Goninan in June 1989 it had new serial number of 6266-5 / 89-83 and replaced the original 9417 which was scrapped in 1979. May 2002.

140601 4671131 viewsMidland, loaded iron ore train #1030 heading to Kwinana, CFCLA leased CHCH type waggon CHCH 7793 these waggons were rebuilt between 2010 and 2012 by Bluebird Rail Operations SA from former Goldsworthy Mining hopper waggons originally built by Tomlinson WA and Scotts of Ipswich Qld back in the 60's to early 80's. 1st June 2014.

267-15131 viewsGoldsworthy Junction, the Sundowner Special is on the Newman mainline leg of the Goldsworthy Junction and triangle, with the Sundowner coach in between CM40-8M GE unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 and sister CM40-8M 5653. This train, and the empty before it, were delayed due to a jamming switch for the transfer road where Tamper 2 and Ballast Regulator 31 can be seen holding track. The road curving around to the left is the Goldsworthy mainline to Boodarie and Finucane Island. Friday 12th of April 2002.

267-31131 viewsAt the 39 km, Goninan rebuild CM40-8M unit 5634 'Boodarie' serial number 8151-07 / 91-120 stands with the Sundowner Special alongside the AEI reader at the 39 km detector site on the Newman mainline. This was a special for the 25 years of the Alstom / BHP service agreement. Friday 12th of April 2002.

190108 1103131 viewsWest Kalgoorlie, NTAY type fuel tank waggon NTAY 5455 with 62,000 litre capacity for BP. Refurbished by Gemco WA in June 2014 from ex Mobil Oil NTAF type tank waggon NTAF 5455. In BP Oil ownership. I think this is an Indeng Qld built NTAF 455 the final of seven such tanks built for Mobil of NSW in 1981.

190109 1453131 viewsWest Kalgoorlie, RHTY type tank waggon RHTY 664, one of fourteen such waggons built by Industrial Engineering Qld in 1976 for Victorian Railways as TWX type crude benzene tank 56,000 litres. Recoded to VTHX in 1979. After a period of storage ended up in National Rail ownership for Alice Springs traffic, now Pacific National ownership.

The extension is at the north end to accommodate the new West Angelas trains of up to 240 waggons. Wednesday 22nd May 2002.
