Rebuilt in 1987 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from 1969 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6012-1 and road number 5452 and assigned new serial number 4839-05 / 87-074. It was delivered in Mt Newman Mining orange and was named Chichester. 5509 was subsequently cut down in September 2003 and then sent to United Goninan's Lansdowne NSW facility for use as an engine test bed, then later to Broadmeadow NSW. 22nd April 2000.
