210-09512 viewsWeipa, Lorim Point railway workshops, observer side view of Comalco R 1001 loco Clyde Engineering EMD model GT26C serial 72-752 while is sits at the fuel point, items of note are these units were setup to have the long hood leading, the CCTV camera looking down the long hood, the second 'tropical roof' and the five chime horn cut into the nose. Also noticeable, the units don't have dynamic brakes fitted so there is no brake 'blister' in the middle of the hood like you see on the WAGR L or VR C classes which are also GT26C models.

The body is similar to a V/Line N class while the components are the same as the Australian National AN class. Originally built for Goldsworthy Mining as GML 10 for use at their Western Australian iron ore railway and locally known as Cinderella. Purchased by Comalco in 1994 following the takeover of Goldsworthy by BHP.
