230110 5497r1587 viewsBoodarie, FMG's Wabtec rebuild AC44C6M unit 108 serial number 50649. These AC to DC conversions feature a new cab and a new radiator section similar to the ES44DCi and ACi units. FMG ordered twenty eight of these units from Wabtec, all rebuilt from former BNSF 9-44CW locomotives and they have kept the original build dates and serial numbers of the former units. FMG 108 was originally BNSF 4795 built back in June 1998 with serial number 50649.

071101 1129r1584 viewsRedbank Bridge Port Hedland, Kingston Transport's Mack brings FMG's General Electric built Dash 9-44CW loco 010 over the Redbank Bridge after stopping on the north side to remove the tarpaulin which had come loose. This was the only unit delivered minus the tarp. Thursday 1st November 2007.

These units were the last locomotives of this model built by General Electric. 20th January 2008.

Trailing unit 9429 was under test due to fluctuating power and workshops personal were on board the unit alighting at Gecko Siding. Monday 10th January 2005.

041014 142508r1546 viewsSix Mile Dampier, Pilbara Railways Historical Society museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSC-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Thursday 14th October 2004.

050110 175326r1540 viewsHarding Siding, Robe River ore waggon 074 built by Nippon Sharyo Nihon in 1971 is one of a few waggons that runs permanently coupled to another waggon. Unlike the Hamersley Iron system married pairs, the Robe fleet each have their own brake system and are coupled by a length of round bar as the Cape Lambert dumper only dumps one waggon at a time. Monday 10th January 2005.

050110 100724r1532 viewsWestern Creek junction, Robe River owned General Electric Dash 9-44CW unit 9434 serial 54767 in Pilbara Iron livery leads similar Hamersley Iron owned unit 7095 serial 52842 in original livery off the interconnecting line from the Cape Lambert - Deepdale line onto the Dampier - Tom Price line with an empty train bound for West Angelas. This junction is known as Western Creek and the double track of Emu can be seen to the left. Monday 10th January 2005.
