Of note, these cells for FMG will clamp the top of the waggons similar to Pilbara Iron car dumpers while the BHP cells clamp down on side pockets in the waggons. Sunday 23rd September 2007.

The rail is moulded 136 10 VT NIPPON 2014 4 which translates to 136 Ib/yard (or 68 kg/m), 10 for Low Alloy, VT for processes of hydrogen elimination as Vacuum Treated, NIPPON is the manufacturer Nippon Steel, Japan, 2014 year rolled and 4 is month rolled.

213-04989 viewsWeipa, Lorim Point workshops, Comalco R 1001 loco Clyde Engineering built EMD model GT26C serial 72-752 sits at the fuel point, items of note are these units were setup to have the long hood leading, the second 'tropical roof' and the five chime horn cut into the nose. Also noticeable, the units don't have dynamic brakes fitted so there is no brake 'blister' in the middle of the hood like you see on the GT26C models of WAGR L or VR C classes. September 1995.

Double crosses were not that uncommon during this era. 1st January 2005.

On the afternoon of Friday the 19th of November 2004 a photo was managed with no less than fourteen locos in the shot, seven at the workshops, and seven on trains at the car dumper roads. Locos in the frame are: 3085, 3080, 3092, 5639, 5636, 5667, 6074 at the workshops and, 6073, 3082, 3079, 5640, 5669, 3078, and 5630 on the car dumper roads. Models are EMD SD40R and SD40-2, GE AC6000 and Goninan GE CM40-8M.

213-06980 viewsWeipa, Lorim Point railway workshops. Comalco shunt engine R 1003 coupled to a Difco side dump waggon. R 1003 is an Electro Motive built NW2 model with serial number 4114 and frame number of E761-8 was built in November 1946 at La Grange originally for Canadian National with road number 7943. Sold to Comalco in December 1975 and entered service in 1976. This unit was subsequently scrapped in 2000.
