110620 2489r55 viewsWalla, loaded BHP ore waggon 1035, the resheeting is obvious with the stich welds along the ribs, 1035 is one of the four hundred waggons built by Comeng WA in 1971, when the numbering reached 2999 they start numbering upwards from 1001. 20th of June 2011.

Visible is the ODCX code and number 82190 from the Oroville Dam Construction company days in the USA. The DZ 11-95 code was the late time it was internally painted to reduce wear and the SL 76 with 90 below it was the last time the Miner SL-76 draft gear was replaced. The orange smiley sticker indicates that this is an original 'Oroville Dam' ore waggon and non relayed AB braked. 12th of July 2003.

247-2754 viewsCape Lambert fuel point, Robe River locomotive 9420 which is a Goninan WA ALCo to GE rebuild CM40-8M with serial 8109-03 / 91-119 from March 1991 riding on Hi-Ad bogies and was originally an ALCo Schenectady built C630 serial 3486-4 and built new for Chesapeake & Ohio (USA) as their 2103. It is one of four C630 ALCo units purchased in 1974 and delivered to Robe in January 1975. Everything below the frame is ALCo while above is GE and Pilbara Cab. Approximate location of the locos is here. 22nd May 2002.

At the time of this image Siding 3 or Murray Camp was unable to cross ore trains so Siding One - Harding or Siding Two - Maitland were used. May 2002.

256-2554 viewsMaitland Siding, Robe River CM40-8M unit 9422 on an empty train. 9422 was built by Comeng NSW as an ALCo M636 model in August 1977 with serial C6103-2 and delivered to Robe River in November 1977. 22nd February 1979 9422 was lead unit on empty train involved in head on collision at Siding One, it was repaired at Cape Lambert and returned to service. It was eventually rebuilt by Goninan in March 1993 to become an CM40-8M with serial number 8297-03 / 93-138. May 2002.

256-3354 viewsAt the 89.6 km grade crossing the loaded train behind the quad CM40-8M working of 9414, 9420, 9410 and 9425 rolls across the crossing and heads down the 1.26 percent grade. 9414 was built by AE Goodwin NSW as an ALCo M636 model in December 1971 with serial number G-6060-5 and part of the original order for five units. Locomotive was delivered to Robe River in January 1972 with Bechtel Pacific road umber 262.005 for construction use and was renumbered 1714 when that was completed. 9414 was rebuilt by Goninan WA in November 1991 to become an CM40-8M model with serial number 8206-11 / 91-124. May 2002.
