Rebuilt in 1988 at Goninan's Welshpool factory from a 1970 AE Goodwin built ALCo C636 with serial number G6041-1 and road number 5455 and assigned new serial number 4839-01 / 88-077. It was delivered in Mount Newman Mining orange and was named Hesta. Late 2001.

235-22339 viewsYandi One, BHP Iron Ore Goninan rebuild CM40-8M GE unit 5654 'Kashima' serial 8412-11 / 93-145 sits on a loaded train awaiting departure time with second unit also a Goninan GE rebuild 5639 'Corunna Downs' serial 8281-03 / 92-128, note the differences in the two locos as 5653 is rebuilt from a Comeng built ALCo M636 while 5639 was an AE Goodwin built ALCo C636. 5654 also has the late marigold style BHP logo.

Closest to the camera is the extended No. 1 Road which becomes the Empty Car Line from car dumper one for the Deepdale traffic. Next is the original line or Mainline and the third line across is the Loaded Car Line for the West Angelas traffic to the new car dumper 2. 22nd May 2002.

253-32339 viewsNelson Point yard sees BHP dumper pilot locomotives 5666 'Taranto', a Goninan GE rebuild CM40-8MEFI model with serial 8412-11 / 94-157, 5666 was the first unit fitted with Electronic Fuel Injection to the 16FDL engine hence the EFI on the model designation, and in the background with compressor set #2 is 5633 which was a new build CM39-8 GE model by Goninan. A sharp eye will notice the difference in the fuel tanks of the two locomotives.
