Behind it lays the remains of an EMD SD40R unit which has been reduced to a few frame part with the EMD 645 engine laying over. Behind it sister units 3095, 3089 and 3092 along with an GE AC6000 6072 wait for a similar fate.

240-251250 viewsWickham town entry statement, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSC-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4006 serial 77737, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.001, then 1700 and finally 9401. It has been repainted into Robe colours and was donated to the local Lions' Club when retired and displayed as an entry statement to the township. View on the rail plinth and plaque at the entry into town. 31st August 2002.

251-311148 viewsNelson Point, the final ALCo on the BHP roster, 5499 sits stored pending its future. Built by Comeng NSW in November 1975 as an ALCo M636 with serial number C6096-04. The unit was intended to be donated to Thursday Island, but this didn't eventuate due to logistical reasons. It is now at the Rail Heritage WA museum in Bassendean. 22nd April 2000.
