200914 7801524 viewsPilbara Railways Historical Society museum, former Cliffs Robe River Iron Associates RSC-3 model ALCo locomotive built by Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in 1951 for NSWGR as the 40 class 4002 serial 77733, purchased by CRRIA in 1971 and numbered 261.002, then 1705 and finally 9405. 4002 is preserved in an operational state and another claim to fame is it run the Royal Train in NSW February 1954. Donated to the Society in 1979. 14th September 2020.

22653523 viewsBassendean, during an Open Day at the Goninan workshops, Robe River's AE Goodwin built ALCo M636 model unit 9411 serial G6060-2 is in the middle of being rebuilt into a GE CM40-8M model. 9411 was built in July 1971, when delivered it carried road number 262.002, then following completion of the construction phase was re-numbered to 1711, before again being re-numbered to 9411. 20th July 1991.
