250-25479 viewsCape Lambert South Yard and Robe River's 9426 a Comeng WA rebuild from ALCo Schenectady NY model C636 serial 3499-3 originally built in January 1968 for Pennsylvania as #6332, Penn Central 6332 and finally Conrail 6782. Purchased in 1986 and rebuilt by Comeng WA into C636R before delivery to Robe in November 1986. This loco also went on to become DR 8401 for construction of FMG's railway in 2007-08. Seen here in the South Yard dragging a loaded rake down to the car dumper. 22nd October 2000.

200412 6069478 viewsBoodarie, part of a loaded FMG train, a mismatched waggon pair, both are CRRC Yangtze Rolling Stock Co. of China builds, 7535 is a slave waggon with rotary coupler and 23.1 tonne tare and carrying the wrong number as it should be 7635, coupled to control waggon 8636 23.3 tonnes tare. Earlier on the same day I saw another 7535 coupled to a 8536. Both should be 2018 builds. 12th April 2020.

200914 7772478 viewsPilbara Railways Historical Society, ALCo built locomotive model S-2 serial 69214 built in 1940 for the Spokane, Portland and Seattle as their #21 and retired in 1964 before coming to Australia in September 1965, numbered 007 and called 'Mabel'. Retired in December 1972 and donated to the Society in 1976. 14th September 2020.
